Can I try a plan before paying?
Yes. Every plan — Basic, Plus, and Scholar — starts with a free 30-day trial, no credit card required. If you don't add payment before the trial ends, your account moves into a 30-day read-only window so you can still export your data.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep full access until the end of your paid period. After that your account enters a 30-day read-only window — you can view and export everything but can't add new records. Resubscribe any time and it's all right where you left it; nothing is ever deleted.
Do I need Scholar for high school?
Only if you need formal transcripts with GPA, college prep tracking, and multi-year academic planning. Otherwise Plus covers every high-school workflow most families use — you can always upgrade when transcript time comes.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Absolutely. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever. Changes take effect immediately with no penalties and no hidden fees.
Does it work for my teaching method?
Binder supports Charlotte Mason, Classical, Montessori, Waldorf, Traditional, Unschooling, Eclectic, and Unit Studies. Your dashboard and sidebar adapt to the tools that matter most for your approach.
Can I turn AI off completely?
Yes. One toggle in Account Settings hides all AI chat, all AI-suggest buttons, and all AI prompts. Pricing doesn't change — you still get every non-AI feature on your plan.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your family's data is never shared, sold, or used to train AI models. Only content you explicitly publish is visible to others. Encrypted cloud storage with daily backups on every plan.
Do you offer co-op or family discounts?
Annual billing saves $24/year on Plus and Scholar. We also offer co-op leader programs on Scholar for groups managing multiple families — email us from your account and we'll set it up.
What if I need a refund?
Contact us within 14 days of any paid charge and we'll refund it, no questions asked. We'd rather you only pay for what you use.
